There's a "blizzard" in the forecast, with snow starting tonight and continuing tomorrow. Right now 8-12 inches are expected, and a guest speaker who was on tap for one of my classes has canceled. It made me wonder -- what would it take for Yale to cancel classes because of the snow?
According to my Statistical Modeling professor, Yale "never" cancels because of snow, and certainly not for a piddly 8-12 inches. (His kid's school, on the other hand, cancels when there's even half an inch. I think that's how it ought to be.)
My boots are ready.
